All Day Nursery Centers will open on their regular schedule on Thursday,  December 27, 2012.

As of 11:00 am this morning, three of our centers remain open because they still have children whose families  still need care.  The centers that are open are IU Health, Northwest and the Indiana State Government Center.  The remaining 4 centers have closed for the day.  All centers plan to be open at their regularly scheduled times on Thursday morning.

Day Nursery Indianapolis Thankful Thursday

Thanks to all the families and friends who have signed up for a free Home Energy Assessment through Energizing Indiana so far.  For each home assessment completed before December 31, 2012, Energizing Indiana will donate $50 to those who designate Day Nursery Association. And we are grateful for the Day Nursery Auxiliary’s support and leadership in generating more than $500 new items for infant and toddlers at their December meeting held at Hollyhock Hill last Friday, December 7.  Here are a few pictures from that meeting.

Day Nursery Start Smart 4 Children Winter Wonderland

So far December has been a very busy month.  It is time to do a little catching up with all the fun things happening in the Day Nursery Centers.  Let’s start with the December 4th holiday program produced by the students and teachers of our Day Nursery Start Smart 4 Children Center at Ft. Harrison.  With over 200 guests expected,  Center Director Debra Ballard and Assistant Director Jessica Stewart decided that the program was too big for any classroom they had so they scheduled it for the auditorium at the DFAS Center next door.  Every age group had a part in the program from the infants to the preschoolers.  Here’s a recap of some of our favorite moments.  Additional pictures can be found on our Facebook page.
