Day Nursery Auxiliary Diamond Jubilee Style Show & Luncheon October 4, 2013


The Day Nursery Auxiliary will celebrate 75 years of service to the children of the Day Nursery Association Early Care and Education Centers with a Diamond Jubilee themed Style Show and Luncheon, Friday, October 4 at the Ritz Charles in Carmel. Leap Into Art event logo
On Saturday, May 18, 2013, Arts for Learning and Day Nursery Association will join together to celebrate early childhood and arts education through Leap into Art, a new fundraising event. Leap into Art will be held at the Day Nursery IU Health Early Care and Education Center from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit each organization as well as their collaborative arts programming.

Leap into Art is an adult-only event which will allow guests to become a kid again. We will create a school carnival atmosphere with many activities and performances happening simultaneously. Arts for Learning teaching artists stationed in the classrooms will present mini workshops and provide great musical entertainment. Each of our 250 anticipated attendees will explore their inner preschooler while enjoying theme-related cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction.

“Children’s Autumn Di-Vine”-October 5, 2012

Please join us Friday,October 5, 2012 for the 24th Annual Day Nursery Auxiliary Style Show and Luncheon. Co-chairs Shirley Romine and B.J. Maley invite you and your friends to a “stylish” fall afternoon at The  Oak Hill Mansion in Carmel.  The theme is “Children’s Autumn Di-Vine.” We welcome “di-vine” vendors Secret Ingredient and Blue Eyes & Bare Feet, a children’s collection created from vintage, modern & recycled fabrics.  Tickets are $60 and proceeds from the event go to the Day Nursery Association Tuition Assistance Fund. Race Into Reading- May 9, 2012

Race Into Reading is a new fundraiser supporting the Day Nursery Association Tuition Assistance Scholarship fund. The race-themed event celebrates early childhood literacy and Day Nursery’s century-long commitment to early childhood education.

The honorary chair of the event is 2010 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year Simona De Silvestro, driver of the #78 Nuclear Clean Air Energy car from the Lotus HVM Racing Team.  The event will be emceed by veteran motor sports broadcaster Bob Jenkins.

Enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres , talk motorsports, try your hand at our Lap Around Literacy games and get a first look at the 2012 Day Nursery Teachers’ Choice Best Books selections.

Support of the Day Nursery Race Into Reading event will help low-income children from 250 Indianapolis families have access to a literacy-rich environment and a great early childhood education through the Day Nursery Tuition Assistance Scholarship fund.  Founded in 1899, Day Nursery is the oldest and largest non-profit provider of early care and education in Indiana. Each year Day Nursery of Indianapolis serves more than 1,300 children ages six weeks to six years old in seven centers.
