Day Nursery Crazy Hair Day

Teachers and students at the Day Nursery Hendricks County Early Care and Education Center in Avon got a chance to get silly Friday on Crazy Hair Day. Each Friday the center has a special day to wrap up the week. To prove that she is a good sport, Center Director Joy McCall (who also was celebrating Colts Blue Friday) included two pictures of herself with her crazy blue streak when she shared these photos.

Day Nursery Northwest Center children help create TV commercial

It is back to school time and Day Nursery is currently enrolling for preschool age children (3-6 years) at all of our centers.   To promote Day Nursery to the general community, I worked with  Marsha Lindsey, our Chief Operating Officer and Marla Segal, director at our Day Nursery Northwest Center near 73rd and Zionsville Road and some very adorable children to create a television commercial which was produced and will air on RTV6.  Look for the commercial soon.

Day Nursery Hendricks County parent sends letter of thanks

I am pleased to share this letter today written to Day Nursery Hendricks County Early Care and Education Center Director Joy McCall by a parent in our Avon Center.

Dear Joy,

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize Ms. Miriam and Ms. Shamima for all the heart and effort they put into organizing yesterday’s pre-school graduation ceremony for Noah’s class.  I was so impressed with the entire program and quite touched by the way both teachers took the time to recognize and celebrate each child’s individuality. It was obvious that careful forethought, planning and preparation went into this special event. Ms. Miriam and Ms. Shamima clearly take great pride in their work, and I believe this sense of pride inspired the children to be proud of their own accomplishments as they transition to kindergarten.

Thank you for allowing and encouraging the teachers to create this special moment that I’m sure the parents and students will always fondly remember. It has been such a joy and blessing to send Noah to Day Nursery. We know how much he will miss the dedicated caregivers who have touched his life and learning. Thank you all for the special work that you do.
