The Big Pink Bus and the Latch On America crew are on to Ohio today after spending yesterday morning with us at the Day Nursery IU Health Center and the afternoon with at the Indiana State Fairgrounds with host The Indiana Mother’s Milk Bank.  Day Nursery was honored for our support of breastfeeding mothers.  The Indiana Perinatal Network presented Day Nursery IU Health Center Director Rene Withers with a multi-user breast pump for the center’s lactation room as well as a stack a great reference books to share with parents and staff.  A crew of documentary film makers  travelling with the bus interviewed Rene and teachers Denise Gann and Nikki Moore about how Day Nursery supports breastfeeding mothers.  Denise, who teaches 3 year olds at the center, is a breastfeeding mother who takes advantage of the nursing mother’s room during her breaks at work.  Laura Zinger, independent filmmaker who is the Founder and Owner of Chicago-based, creative content production company, 20K Films, is currently working on a documentary that will explore cultural and social perspectives of breastfeeding across the globe.  The full length documentary targeted for release in 2012.
