Day Nursery Federal Center Cinco de Mayo celebration

I am more than cinco days behind on posting these pictures from the Day Nursery Federal Center Cinco de Mayo celebration on the blog so I hope you will forgive me when you see how cute they are. I’ll let Director Sarah Parks give you the play-by-play.

As indicated, we started with our toddlers and 2s…who didn’t hit too hard…but were cute to watch. (Kellen in particular—he is almost 14 months—his picture is included, he yelled very loudly while swinging the stick at Sponge Bob (the only pinata we could find at the time we were shopping!) …Ella, a 2 year old, needed some help from Ms. JenniferD’Shon and the rest of the PreK boys hit it so hard they knocked it down multiple times—but we kept hanging it back up….Finally the teachers took turns until Ms. Belinda finally busted it open…as she has done for the 3rd year in a row. Not sure who enjoys our Cinco de Mayo Fiesta more…the children or the teachers!
PS…we also had Taco Mountains in honor of Cinco de Mayo, and listened to some mexican music while hitting the pinata….
