This past Friday, many of the Day Nursery locations celebrated the last blast of summer with a Luau. I visited the event at our northwest side center near Guion Road and 56th Street. When I arrived, the center was buzzing with activity. It was the end of the day so parents were there to pick up children and enjoy the luau with them. Center Director, Marla Segal grabbed me as I walked in the door to make sure I met a parent who had really been a “super hero” in helping set up the luau that day. I’ll let Marla pick up the story….”With the Guion Road Luau I had parents donate food and we supplied ham. It is amazing how many parents look forward to the Luau each year. Parents come and help decorate and set up. They also come and eat, listen to music, and spend time with their children’s classes. With how hectic it gets in the afternoon my parents also helped serve food and then helped clean up. It would have been very difficult to pull off a great Luau without the parents help.”
Thanks to Lisa Taylor and all the great Moms and Dads like her in the other six Day Nursery centers who do nice things for us every day!
