Spring stories to share with your child

9780545078672_xlgAre you the kind of parent who collects a list of books you want to check out to read with your child next time you two visit the library? If so, here’s a gaggle of good books to check out on the topic of spring courtesy of Scholastic.  If you would rather own one of these books instead of borrow it, you can purchase many books on the Scholastic website.  Included in this list is one of my daughter’s favorite book characters: Poppleton the pig. Poppleton loves everything about spring and makes grand plans for cleaning, bicycle shopping, and sleeping in a tent. School Library Journal gave Poppleton In Spring  by Cynthia Rylant, a thumbs up too. “The text is just right for beginning readers and the lively illustrations offer plenty of visual clues and a touch of the absurd humor that appeals to this set. An irresistible addition.” Grab your library card and this list of books about spring and head out today to discover some great reading with your child.
